The General Maintenance/Furniture Technician will assist in all aspects of moves within the Lockheed Martin Campus (Several Large Buildings) and fill out all documents associated. Set up and tear downs for events throughout the campus. Track furniture inventory use associated with furniture moved and events. Makes simple decisions but refers technical questions to more experienced personnel. Must be eligible to obtain a DOD security clearance and have a good driving record.
Move Furniture and Etc.. · Time management – prioritize evolving schedule · Prepare and deliver boxes · Move boxes and furniture campus-wide · Lifting, Moving, and Inspecting furniture · Clean furniture and apply fabric protection · Occasional moves to other sites and locations · Minor modular furniture modifications (relocate shelf units) · Scrap obsolete furniture · Must know how to follow and complete work orders |
Event and Room Set Up & Tear Down · Set Up Stage · Set up various event areas · Bring items needed for events (Signs, linens, audio equipment, etc) · Reset Campus Rooms |
Assist other teammates as needed |
Snow removal activities including shoveling. |
Education (HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.) | High School diploma, Vocational School a plus |
Business Experience (prior years work/related experience) | 1 to 3 years prior experience in facilities |
Licenses/Certifications | Must possess or have the ability to obtain a secret security clearance. |

The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk 4+ miles per day within campus. This candidate is also required lift 50 lbs or more, lift, push, and pull.
Must be able to take verbal and written instructions, and be able to carry out any other responsibility assigned by management and client.
Must be able to follow written procedures, trainings, and emergency procedures.
Must be able to arrive on time for work and have a reliable method of transportation.
Compensation Range:$20-$24/HR
