Project Controls Manager

A Project Controls Manager leads project teams that support cost control, projections/forecasting, change management, scheduling, reporting, and earned value management for the assigned project. Develops performance reports for the GC/Owner and company senior leadership that highlights project health through key performance indicators. Implementation of the control processes per Project Controls Plan.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage the Project Controls Scope for a project.
Understand and communicate the client’s needs/requirements to the cost
and scheduling teams.
- Set the requirements for Project Controls and monitor compliance.
- Supervise staff members and provide guidance.
- Ensuring site obligations are followed and ensuring compliance within
guidelines.
- Collect, compile, and analyze relevant Project Controls statistical data to
obtain information regarding the performance.
- Direct weekly and monthly meetings with team members.
- Supervise Project Control team members and other company staff to ensure
they perform their duties per established procedures.
- Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
- Gain feedback from the clients, attend meetings, and submit reports.
- Prepare and present reports to update upper management on Project
Control activities
Education & Experience
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including Project Management,
Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc., paired with
industry experience OR an overall appropriate combination of
certification(s), experience, and education - Strong organizational skills.
- Primavera P6 Experience
- Ability to establish effective relationships with customers, GCs, owners,
and office personnel. - Ability to proactively get tasks completed within a timely manner.
- Knowledge of AIA billings and forms.
- Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure.
- Excellent math skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong computer skills- Specifically in Google Suite
PREFERRED
- Mission Critical Project experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Scheduling Professional (SP)
- Experience with MS Office, Primavera P6, and ConEst
