Installs and repairs mechanical and electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and building equipment. Coordinate and complete preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, overhead doors, dock levelers, and other mechanical systems. Perform minor repairs on above systems. By performing the following duties.
Operates and maintains fork trucks Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices Lubricates. Oils, and cleans equipment per manufacturing specification. Starts devices to test their performance. Assists in repairs of electrical equipment. Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and building equipment. Connects power supply wires to machines and building equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and building equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Replace electric motor bearings. Replace, align, shim motors, re-build pumps and motors. Assist in Plan layouts of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic components of machine and building equipment.

Performs preventative maintenance tasking as assigned.

Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities. Maintain, organize, and control inventory supplies tools and equipment. Clean and organize shop area. Maintain inventory of spare parts and material. Maintain tools and equipment for maintenance work.

Education (HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.) | HS Diploma |
Business Experience (prior years work/related experience) | Ten (10) or more years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licenses/Certifications |
Must possess a valid driver’s license. Local License if applicable by local jurisdiction. Fork truck and aerial lift equipment certification

Language Skills | Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

Technical Qualifications & Skills | Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
