Electrical Service Manager
Position Overview
The Electrical Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the electrical service department, ensuring high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and efficient project completion. This role involves managing service technicians, coordinating schedules, estimating jobs, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, and fostering strong relationships with clients. The Electrical Service Manager plays a key leadership role in driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction for the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and supervise service technicians and support staff.
- Conduct training on technical skills, safety practices, and customer service.
- Manage employee performance, evaluations, and scheduling.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely and efficient job completion.
- Review work orders, assign tasks, and monitor progress.
- Maintain accurate records of jobs, materials, and costs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service needs, issues, and inquiries.
- Provide estimates, proposals, and recommendations for electrical service work.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and follow-up.
- Financial & Administrative Duties
- Prepare job estimates, budgets, and invoices.
- Monitor department expenses, profitability, and efficiency.
- Assist in setting and achieving sales and service goals.

- Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, local codes, and company standards.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings.
- Maintain licensing, permits, and certifications as required.
- Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician (preferred).
- 5+ years of electrical service experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/management role.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
- Proficient in project management, scheduling, and estimating.
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in business software (Microsoft Office, scheduling/dispatch software, etc.).
