Compensation Range:   $110,000 - $125,000

This position is bonus eligible.

 

SUMMARY

The Vista Technical Analyst is responsible for providing IT support for Vista ERP to both ECS and the local IT support groups at our 50+ Operating Companies.  Reporting to the Vista Technical Support Manager, this position will troubleshoot Tier 1 through Tier 3 technical issues, liaison with ERP and Implementation teams as necessary, and see problems through to resolution.  The Vista Technical Analyst is also a key participant in implementations and migrations of software which integrates with the Vista ERP.  This position is based in McLean, Virginia. However, candidates in other locations and meeting the requirements below may be considered.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Deliver excellent IT support for Vista ERP to ECS Operating Companies through exceptional customer service
  • Monitor environment performance and proactively troubleshoot errors and issues, including user portal and reporting environments
  • Troubleshooting login and access problems
  • Set up and maintain service accounts
  • Monitor and test backup environments regularly including participation in after-hour maintenance as needed
  • Implement and maintain appropriate security in database environments
  • Install and integrate third party software including Spreadsheet Server, purchasing software
  • Develop and test customizations and move them into production
  • Ensure test environments closely approximate production environments
  • Participate in implementation and migration projects
  • Develop tools and automations to enhance operational efficiency
  • Ensure server infrastructure is maintained to EMCOR standards
  • Provide training and support to administrators at Operating Companies
  • Ensure compliance with EMCOR Change Management standards
  • Participate in departmental projects as needed
  • Participate in acquisition activities as needed
  • Ability to travel as business needs arise. Anticipating travel to be approximately 10% of work time
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vista Technical Support Manager

  • Able to work with technical teams as well as operational teams
  • Proactive change agent skills with competent follow through

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years Vista ERP support experience. Experience should demonstrate ability to work effectively independently and/or in small teams
  • Advanced working knowledge of Vista ERP application and data structures
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL Server and Structured Query Language
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft and Azure active directory
  • Experience participating in the management of complex IT projects
  • Ability to travel as business need arises
  • Demonstrated experience/ability to follow Corporate Security & IT policies

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
