SUMMARY

 

The Vista Systems Director is responsible for management of the implementation and support teams who provide implementation planning and post-implementation assistance to operating companies using our ERP system Vista by Viewpoint across the organization.  The role focuses on strategic planning to organize and focus our team efforts to create efficiency in how we provide value to support the companies on the Vista ERP.  This professional has strong organizational and leadership skills to collaborate with business users, IT and external consultants to manage our Trimble partnership, provide guidance and planning for our implementation team and manage our Support team to ensure timely and accurate resolution of ERP issues.    Travel Estimated at 1 Week per Month (20%).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage Vista Support Team to ensure projects like System upgrades and Package enhancements get properly vetted, managed and prioritized.
  • Oversee Support team to ensure support tickets are addressed and resolved as timely as possible. 
  • Build relationships with Operating Company CFOs and Vista users to help identify areas for Phase 2 process improvements and help work with Support Manager to create plan for supporting those needs in the most efficient way.
  • Coordination and planning for Power Up User conference including assistance with planning, preparing and leading training sessions.
  • Perform functional testing for system upgrades (Vista and HFF Portal) and ECS package deployments.
  • Assist with data analysis, error resolution, and process improvement recommendations.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for Vista Implementation team including project scoping plan, providing demos and leading kick-off efforts.
  • Monitor progress and assist with Project Management of implementations to ensure that critical path is maintained to keep implementations on budget and completed timely.
  • Work with IT team to help improve Vista cloud user experience and help provide longer-term vision for improved software use amongst our companies that complies with our IT security requirements (i.e. evaluate pVault cloud, cascade logins, RDP vs. VRL connections, Trimble analytics offerings)
  • Work with operating companies to help identify and prioritize software needs to ensure we clearly document and support enhancement needs from Trimble to ensure continuous improvement of the Vista ERP application and other operational applications.
  • Travel Estimated at 1 Week per Month (20%).

Qualifications

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

  • 10 years of accounting or ERP support experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP software is required.
  • Experience supporting mechanical, electrical, or union contracting operations required.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

 

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and job cost management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

 

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Crystal Reports, or SSRS preferred.
  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista is required
