Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) supports the human resources team by identifying, engaging, and attracting qualified talent to meet the organization’s workforce needs. This role leverages a variety of sourcing channels including job boards, social media, outreach programs, and strategic search methodologies to build and maintain robust talent pipelines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and attract high-quality candidates.
  • Review the company’s hiring and talent needs to anticipate future hiring needs.
  • Create specific job position questions for phone screens and interviews.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of job postings.
  • Establish expectations and goals with the hiring manager.  
  • Manage the candidate screening process, including candidate sourcing, reviewing resumes, initial phone screens, gathering hiring manager feedback, and interviews.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and sourcing activity within applicant tracking system.
  • Maintain CPM Training Facilitator candidate notes and recommendations.
  • Work with marketing on HR LinkedIn content planning, scheduling, and social media support.
  • Coordinate and distribute internal recruitment campaigns to all employees via email.
  • Create and maintain a candidate recruitment tracker.

Events & Outreach Engagement

  • Manage, coordinate, and participate in job fairs, college career fairs, and school partnerships.
  • Coordinate campus presentations, guest speaker panels, and events.   
  • Work with division managers to build and sustain a university internship program.
  • Work with division managers to grow and develop mentorships with high school students in ACE type programs. 
  • Work with Department of Defense recruiters to engage with veterans transitioning to civilian life.
  • Manage, maintain, and organize outreach pipeline.
  • Explore and assist with other outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA (HR Management or Business Degree) preferred but not required.
  • Solid understanding of talent and acquisition principles.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office 365 suite.
  • Job fair experience preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with different departments.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a TAS to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

The TAS is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
