Job Summary

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Stainless-Steel Fabricator position. The Stainless-Steel Fabricator installs, fabricates, and repairs stainless steel assemblies and tanks used in industrial manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and process environments. This role interprets isometric drawings and blueprints; and fabricates stainless steel components. The ideal candidate has experience with stainless steel fabrication, strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • The ability to read blueprints to understand requirements. 
  • Inspect and prepare work in fab shop 
  • Lay out, Weld, cut, and assemble stainless steel assemblies. 
  • Stainless tank modifications and repairs.  
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including saws, grinders, threading machines, and measuring instruments. 
  • Maintain clean work areas and ensure stainless steel materials are handled and protected to prevent contamination. 
  • Follow all company safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards. 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Stainless Steel Fabricator, Industrial Pipefitter, or Industrial sheet metal worker. 
  • Preferred experience in food and beverage, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial process facilities. 
  • Experience fitting stainless steel pipe and tubing systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and fabrication specifications. 
  • Familiarity with welding preparation, fit-up tolerances, and fabrication techniques. 
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical activities, including but not limited to standing, walking, balancing and climbing stairs/ladders. 

 

The employee regularly lifts and/or moves items up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel to job sites within the servicing territory assigned by the company. 

Work Environment

Field environments may vary based on project or weather conditions.  Working at heights over 50 feet in varying weather conditions. Weather conditions range from summer and below freezing in the winter. Weather conditions include wind, snow, rain and hot sun. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
