Job Summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Site Admin / Timekeeper for a job-site located in DeSoto, Kansas. This position is responsible for supporting daily job-site operations through accurate timekeeping, payroll-related record-keeping, and administrative support.  The Site Admin/Timekeeper works closely with project management, supervisors, and craft personnel to ensure hours are accurately recorded, documentation is properly maintained, and payroll deadlines are met.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Enter time per cost code and reconcile production sheets into an iPad application timekeeping system ensuring payroll deadlines are met.
  • Maintain filing systems for all timekeeping records and supporting documentation. 
  • Retrieves information as requires.  Prepares written summaries of data when needed. 
  • Collaborates with and resolves timekeeping inquiries and questions.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 years of clerical or timekeeping experience. 
  • Proficient understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record-keeping and filing. 
  • Proficient with applications on an ipad. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday from 6:30am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekend work required. 

Work Environment

Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.  Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds. Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position. Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.  Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.
