Job Summary

EMCOR Hyre Electric Co. of Indiana, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Jobsite Equipment Coordinator. This position is located in Hobart, Indiana.  The Jobsite Equipment Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and managing an accurate inventory of all tools and equipment on site.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain and manage an accurate inventory of all tools and equipment on site
  • Facilitate the issuing, tracking, and returning of tools/equipment
  • Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and documentation for all assets
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration schedules for tools and equipment
  • Act as primary point of contact for tool/equipment requests, repairs, and replacements
  • Maintain secure storage areas and enforce check-in/check-out processes
  • Provide training or guidance to field staff on proper use and handling of tools/equipment
  • Work closely with Operations, Safety, and Project Management to forecast future equipment needs
  • Track costs related to tools and equipment to help identify opportunities for savings and efficiency
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Complete all safety and general training required for the position.

Qualifications

Job Specifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s license. CDL preferred.
  • Familiarity with electrical construction tools and equipment.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or equipment coordination preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to use inventory management applications, spreadsheets, and tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with field staff, managers, and vendors.
  • Proven ability to safeguard high-value assets and maintain accountability.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. Physically lifting and moving small equipment is required.
  • Ability to climb a ladder.
  • Ability to sort and place material on racks or shelves.
  • Ability to work on feet for several hours without rest.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including extreme heat and cold.
  • Dependable, reliable with good time management skills.
  • Must demonstrate commitment to company values.
  • Maintain a positive work attitude.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with customers, employees, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
