Ohmstede Ltd. Material Estimator

Our fully integrated shop services include state-of-the-art technologies, engineering, design, manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, and repair.

Ohmstede Ltd. is seeking a Material Estimator, to analyze documentation submitted by customers and prepare punctual, detailed commercial and technical bids in a fast paced and competitive market.

• Prepare technical and commercial bid packages to meet customer RFQ requirements
• Coordinate with Customer, Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, etc. to ensure that all pertinent requirements of RFQ are understood and addressed in bid package
• Initiate communication with customer to determine purchasing drivers
• Develop bid road map to be utilized during execution phase of order cycle
• Review all incoming PO’s to ensure alignment to submitted bids
• Serve as main conduit between Sales and Engineering/Supply Chain during order handoff meeting/reviews
• Streamline bid process to eliminate inefficiencies and shorten RFQ – PO cycle time
• Liaise with Project Management to identify and address any/all change order requests
• Meet with customers and vendors to discuss/implement strategies to minimize waste

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferredP&L financial basics
• Heavy equipment &/or industrial shop/field experience preferred
• Solid mechanical acumen with hands on experience preferred
• Strong foundation in MS Office

• Normal office and shop environment
