
We are a full-service mechanical contractor specializing in CAD and BIM services, commercial and industrial plumbing, process piping, and commercial HVAC systems. We build, renovate, and upgrade, as well as service, maintain, and operate facilities for a full spectrum of clients.
Tucker Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Project Assistant Intern at our company. The Project Assistant Intern will provide support and documentation while learning the basics of Mechanical Contracting project administration.
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
❖Project Support:
➢Review & understand project specifications.
➢Review & understand GC or Owner project schedules.
➢Set-Up and manage job files and routing including but not limited to: Drawings Logs, Submittal Logs, Specifications, all RFI's, Meeting Minutes, and Daily Reports.
➢Inventory and inspection of material and equipment.
➢Prepare T&M billings and PCO proposals. Reconcile internal cost records with submitted T&M vouchers.
❖Software & Systems:
➢Learn and utilize project management and file management software such as Microsoft Suite, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Bluebeam, and COINs (ERP System.)
❖Reporting:
➢Gain familiarity with Tucker Mechanical’s systems, installations, prefabrication and field productivity.
➢Prepare required documentation for areas of assigned responsibility.
➢Receive data and compile summary reports of activities for management on a weekly and monthly basis as required.
➢Assist in the research and prepare contract design change requests.
➢Attain competency in Tucker Mechanical’s Safety Program and Policies.
➢Perform additional assignments as directed by the Project Manager and/or Group Manager.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
➢Working towards a 4-year Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent field experience
➢Basic knowledge of mechanical construction equipment, materials, drawings and specifications
COMPUTER SKILLS
➢Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e., Outlook, Word, and Excel).
