EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a Facility Maintenance Technician in Sarasota, FL. The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR Site Lead and support him to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary responsibilities are to maintain the landscaping of the facility and ensure open access to the various well sites throughout the neighborhood of the facility along with the maintenance and repairs of the facility and equipment. Knowledge of and capable to perform general type maintenance and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant must be a US Citizen, possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 1 to 3 years of hands on experience in facilities and grounds maintenance dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
| Communicates effectively with Site Lead to determine service needs. Coordinates and supervise client sub-contractors while performing service on site. |
Must be capable of working outdoors in high temperatures mowing all grass areas and access to well extraction sites throughout the neighborhood, trimming decorative grass and weed control of the artificial turf area. |
Minor janitorial cleaning of sinks, restroom fixtures, kitchen area and security areas. |
General maintenance skills to repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, furniture set up/moves and general repairs. |
Performs a wide variety of preventive and corrective maintenance work requests such as pressure washing the perimeter wall, HVAC PM’s, filter changes, equipment repairs, etc. |
Education (HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.) | HS Diploma |
Business Experience (prior years work/related experience) | 1– 3 years of experience related to facility maintenance. |
Licenses/Certifications | Valid US driver’s license, OSHA 10 |
Language Skills | Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
