Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc is seeking an experienced Industrial Planner in Bennettsville, SC.

Serve as a project planner and technical resource for developing job plans, inputting project data, maintaining current tracking data, and assisting Project team with other facets of a major Capital project. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and update detailed project and equipment planning data on Microsoft Project or Excel.
  • Keep detailed project cost tracking for labor, materials, subcontractors, etc. 
  • Assist in investigating equipment failures and resolve issues. 
  • Stand-in for departmental vacancies.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned including supervision of hourly IE workforce.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on scheduling of projects

  • Knowledge of critical path method of scheduling
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Ability to plan and update outage schedules on MS Project or Excel
  • Micro Project, Excel and Word experience
  • Strong communication skills oral, written and listening 
  • Able to communicate with others in a professional, concise manner 
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrical systems

 

Working Environment & Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting of items weighting a maximum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairwells up to 15 levels high.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders (step, extension, cage) up to 24’ high.
  • Able to walk at a normal pace for up to 15 continuous minutes.
  • Able to work from a standing position for 8-12 hours.
  • Ability to twist and bend on a recurring basis.
  • Weather conditions that can be expected are wet, humid, heat and cold, bright/dim light, traffic, heights, dusts, and pollen.
  • The job requires normal visual acuity, field vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception, and texture perception.
  • Some environments are in a high noise and vibrating area.
