Repairs and maintains facility machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, dock locks and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.
| Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. |
Assists in dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts. |
Assists in inspecting used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements. |
Assists in repairing or replacing defective parts. |
Assists in adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments. |
Assists in installing special functional and structural parts in devices. |
Lubricates and cleans parts. |
Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities. |
Education (HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.) | HS diploma |
Business Experience (prior years work/related experience) | 5 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
Licenses/Certifications | Must possess a valid driver's license |
Language Skills | Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization. |
