Position Overview:

We are searching for a full-time Project Engineer to join our growing team in Colorado.  The Project Engineer (PE) position is responsible for working collaboratively with Project Managers and field personnel to meet both project and company objectives.  PE levels 1/2/3 are an established career advancement progression based on experience and skill development.

Regular scheduled working hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm on the project job site, or in the office. Rare, occasional overtime, only if necessary. This position offers weekends off as well as an enjoyable team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

A candidate’s placement/progression through the PE1/PE2/PE3 levels are based on a level of experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Document control (drawings, RFI’s, documentation)
  • Conduct project status review meetings
  • Project planning and scheduling
  • Change order management
  • Material procurement and subcontractor coordination
  • Safety & Quality Control processes
  • Project finances and cost estimating

Specific Tasks and Other Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Commit to on-going growth and learning.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining project files and records.
  • Attend and/or conduct project meetings and take meeting minutes.
  • Issue correspondence, reports and other items requested.
  • Submit RFI’s and maintain RFI log.
  • Prepare and submit final closeout documents, as-builts and O&M’s.
  • Obtain building and other construction permits.
  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries.
  • Prepare, log, and manage product submittals and shop drawings.
  • Prepare, price, and negotiate project change orders (with PM oversight).
  • Prepare layout drawings and other documents.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules.
  • Assist PM and learn about project cost management.
  • Represent Dynalectric in a professional manner.
  • Assist other teams and departments as required to maintain a smooth organizational workflow.

Qualifications

The Candidate Prerequisites including any/all of the following:

  • Attained (or pursuing) a college degree or certification in: Construction Management, a relevant technical program or related field experience.
  • Zero (0) to five (5) years construction experience.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are necessary to effectively communicate with employees, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, transparent team environment.
  • Ability to pass federal and state background checks.
  • Ability to pass a preemployment drug screening.

Compensation Range: Salary Range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000 and is based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position.

Other Compensation:   Eligible to recieve an annual discretionary bonus in accordance with Company policy.
