Position Overview
As the IT Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring our onsite, remote, and jobsite employees have the tools they need to succeed. This role blends day-to-day user support with systems administration support, hardware procurement, and inventory management.
You will work closely with internal leadership and project teams, as well as the overarching EMCOR IT infrastructure, to manage user accounts, deploy hardware, and support critical industry applications like Vista, Bluebeam, Adobe, and Autodesk.

1. End-User Support & Ticket Management
· Provide exceptional Tier 1 technical support for onsite and remote employees.
· Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues using tools like LogMeIn Resolve and Microsoft Teams.
· Manage, prioritize, and document incoming IT issues based on business impact.
· Autonomously resolve standard technical issues and efficiently escalate complex problems to the EMCOR Help Desk or external vendor portals (ServiceNow, Viewpoint Customer Portal).
2. Software Administration & Corporate Applications
· PMI Employee Portal & Vista Support: Act as a key admin for our custom portal and Vista ERP environments (Production and Test). Create/deactivate accounts, manage module/report/form permissions, deploy new forms, and ensure seamless synchronization between systems.
· Core Business Apps: Provision licenses and perform local/remote installations for Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Bluebeam Revu (managing transitions from legacy versions to Bluebeam 21 subscriptions).
· Construction Tech: Administer user invitations via the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) admin portal and configure the Autodesk Desktop Connector.
3. Account Onboarding & Device Deployment
· Coordinate closely with managers to execute IT onboarding and offboarding workflows.
· Provision new user accounts in Active Directory (AD) via ServiceNow and configure multi-factor authentication (MFA).
· Complete end-to-end configuration of new computers and mobile devices (iPhones/Androids), establishing standard security settings (PINs), syncing company contact databases, and installing role-specific network drives.
4. Hardware Logistics, Procurement & Inventory Tracking
· Order IT equipment, accessories, and jobsite hardware under $5,000 using EMCOR Procurement systems (Insight, Amazon, Dell, CDW).
· Maintain a detailed, accurate asset inventory log tracking computers (serial numbers, machine names, issue dates), tablets, personal HP printers, jetpacks, and accessories.
· Package and securely ship IT equipment to remote workers, coordinating time-sensitive daily pickups and local FedEx drop-offs.
5. Jobsite Tech Setup & Deployment
· Review project requirements to equip new construction jobsites with robust internet and networking hardware.
· Order, configure, and test Z4 routers and MG52 cellular modems (via Wireless Watchdogs) in the office before deployment.
· Label hardware with accurate network configurations (IPv4, subnet masks, gateways) and provide remote technical support to Project Managers to get jobsite networks operational.
Required Experience:
· Technical Support: 1–3 years of experience in a desktop support, IT helpdesk, or tech clerk role.
· OS & Hardware: Strong familiarity troubleshooting Windows 11, iOS/iPhones, tablets, and peripheral hardware (monitors, network switches, local printers).
· Software Ecosystems: Proficient with Microsoft 365 administration (Outlook, Teams, Active Directory). Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and Bluebeam Revu is highly preferred.
· Logistics & Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of maintaining precise data sheets (CSVs/Excel) and managing physical inventory.
Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications:
· Experience working within the construction, engineering, or mechanical sectors.
· Familiarity with Vista (Viewpoint/Trimble) ERP or similar construction enterprise software.
· Knowledge of Wireless Watchdogs portal or corporate mobile fleet management.
· Experience utilizing ServiceNow for ticketing and enterprise asset management.

Compensation & Benefits
· Salary Range: $22.00 – $32.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
