Job Summary

EMCOR Mechanical Construction Services is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and creative marketing professional to serve as Marketing Director supporting our Operating Companies (“OPCOs”) across the organization.

This role is designed for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and understands how to support decentralized businesses without creating unnecessary bureaucracy or top-down control.

The Marketing Director will serve as a strategic partner to OPCO leadership teams — helping companies improve project pursuit success, strengthen client presentations, elevate interview preparation, support recruiting visibility, and build scalable marketing infrastructure across the mechanical segment.

This position reports directly to the SVP of Mechanical Operations and works closely with Segment Leadership and OPCO Leadership Teams throughout the organization.

This is not a traditional centralized corporate marketing role. At ECS, Operating Companies lead the business. The Segment team exists to support, enable, and help scale success across Operating Companies while preserving local leadership, culture, relationships, and market identity.

The successful candidate will operate as a service-oriented business partner who can bring strategic thinking, creative execution, organizational structure, and pursuit excellence to the organization.

A major focus of the role includes:

  • Supporting major project pursuits
  • Building high-quality pursuit decks and presentation materials
  • Conducting interview preparation sessions
  • Developing scalable marketing tools and templates
  • Creating and maintaining a segment-wide marketing reference library and knowledge structure
  • Helping OPCOs improve visibility, storytelling, and pursuit effectiveness

This role requires someone who can balance creativity with execution and strategy with responsiveness.

ECS HQ is based out of McLean, Virginia. However, candidates in other locations and meeting the requirements below may be considered.

Compensation Range:   $105,000 - $120,000

This position is bonus eligible.

Project Pursuit & Interview Support

  • Coordinate and facilitate project interview preparation sessions with OPCO leadership teams
  • Help improve presentation quality, messaging, storytelling, and interview effectiveness
  • Support high-profile pursuits across key strategic markets including data centers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, industrial, and commercial construction

Marketing Infrastructure & Content Management

  • Build and maintain a scalable marketing reference structure and pursuit content library
  • Organize project profiles, photography, resumes, boilerplate content, interview materials, graphics, and presentation assets
  • Create reusable templates and tools for pursuits, recruiting initiatives, and executive presentations
  • Standardize organization and accessibility of marketing materials across OPCOs
  • Help establish long-term institutional knowledge and marketing continuity throughout the mechanical segment

Strategic Marketing Leadership

  • Support segment-wide marketing strategy and brand positioning initiatives
  • Partner with OPCO leadership teams to support growth initiatives and recruiting visibility
  • Help identify opportunities to improve market presence and customer engagement
  • Assist with development of scalable marketing processes and best practices
