Accountant

We specialize in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects.

Shambaugh & Son is looking for an Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of accounting duties in a timely and accurately fashion.

• Manage and complete all requests for certificates of insurance.
• Complete the daily deposit.
• Union Reporting
• Trade License Renewals
• State and Local Tax Reporting 
• Cost Allocations 
• Supervise various accounting personnel.
• Back-up field payroll processing.
• Enter monthly insurance journal entry.
• Complete employee AR statements monthly.
• Handle inter-company journal entries received from EMCOR.
• Send out office overtime report
• Enter field vehicle reimbursement spreadsheet monthly.
• Administer COVA.
• Enter reoccurring journal entries.
• Complete AP duplicate invoice report.
• Send our monthly incentive compensation graphs.
• Other duties as needed.

• 5+ years of progressive administrative and accounting experience
• Bachelors of Science in Business Administration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional phone etiquette
• Possess an upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Be a confident self-starter who works well independently and team player as well
• Proficient in various computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
