Accounts Payable Specialist

University Mechanical is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for our San Diego CA location.                             

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Note:  This is not intended to be neither a detailed nor comprehensive description on any individual employee’s job content.  Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.

• Processing of job-related invoices, including Subcontractors and material purchases.
• Processing of employee expense reports in accordance with company guidelines.
• Preparation of weekly check runs, including payments to Subcontractors.
• Reconciliation of vendor statements, including corresponding with vendors and responding to inquiries concerning payment or invoice issues.
• Assisting Project Managers in the reconciliation of purchase orders and Subcontracts.
• Special projects as needed.
• Thorough understanding of sales and used tax. Including the ability to distinguish being purchases that are taxable, non-taxable, and/or qualify for tax exemptions.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must possess strong computer skills, including intermediate MS Excel.  Vista by Viewpoint Construction Software, pVault by Paperless Environment and/Construction experience highly preferred.

Compensation: $29 - $34 Hourly
