Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced licensed Field Superintendent to lead and oversee electrical construction and maintenance activities across oilfield facilities in the Permian basin. This role is responsible for supervising field crews, ensuring code compliance, enforcing safety standards, coordinating with operations, and delivering projects on time and on budget in a fast‑paced oil & gas environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with deep oilfield electrical experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple crews across active sites.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage electrical field crews on oil & gas projects including well pads, compressor stations, SWDs, production facilities, and related infrastructure

• Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, NFPA, local/state codes, and company standards

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials across multiple active sites

• Serve as the primary field contact with operations, project managers, inspectors, and clients

• Enforce all safety policies, conduct job safety analyses (JSAs), toolbox talks, field audits, and GPS compliance

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and instrumentation issues

• Review drawings, schematics, and scope of work to ensure accurate execution

• Track daily progress, time, and production; submit field reports

• Mentor electricians and foremen; maintain high standards of craftsmanship 

• Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to specification

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Active Journeyman or Master Electrician License (TX or NM preferred)

• Strong knowledge of oilfield electrical systems (480V/600V, MCCs, VFDs, generators, PLC interfaces, grounding, hazardous locations)

• Extensive experience in Class I Division I & II environments

• Proven leadership and crew management skills

• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and regulatory compliance

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

• Willingness to work extended hours and rotational schedules as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Permian basin specifically

• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, H2S (or ability to obtain)

• Strong computer skills (daily reporting, scheduling, email, tablets)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
