The Sr. Automation Project Manager will be responsible for assisting department leadership in developing standards and mentoring fellow Project Managers. This role will assist the sales team in developing a scope of work and estimating the costs associated with a project. Post-sale they will maintain customer service satisfaction, coordinate the planning, installation of all assigned projects and promote a positive leadership role.
• Provide presale support to the sales team for estimating cost of projects along with generating a detailed scope of work as needed.
• Manage the overall operations of the contract, including: the performance of daily operations, scheduled installations; administration of subcontracts.
• Prepare financial forecasts and attend project review meetings. Ensure that the contract is managed in a manner that meets all contractual requirements and Mesa Energy Systems financial goals.
• Evaluate and ensure the efficient operation of the project, controlling operational expenses that is consistent with the project budget and contractual requirements.
• Provide administrative, technical direction and supervision of staff assigned to support your project(s).
• Coordinates purchase of necessary supplies, equipment, and services from appropriate sources.
• Maintain relationships with all groups/individuals associated with projects for which you’re responsible. This includes customers, venders and other internal/external resources involved with the project.
• Maintains sufficient records, files, controls, procedures to insure management and work production.
• Maintains a strong safety awareness and culture consistent with Mesa values and supports all safety requirements both internal and external.
• Assist in developing and maintaining department standard operating procedures
• Understand our contractual scope of work including the ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management or Business Management is preferred.
• Ten (10) years’ experience as a Project Manager
• Working knowledge of at least one HVAC controls systems (preferably Delta, Distech, Circon or Loytec)
• Knowledge of mechanical systems
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct, and control all aspects of project activities.
• Ability to work with the customer to find mutually satisfactory solutions to difficult issues.
• Ability to work with management and a variety of skilled/unskilled, professional, administrative, and industry personnel.
• Extensive knowledge of office administration, project management, reporting, budgeting, budget control, business operations, blueprints, buildings, equipment, housekeeping, construction, purchasing, inventory control, and safety management.
• Ability to interface with customers, contractors, and all levels of management.
• Ability to organize and lead a group of people.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the work as required.
• Strong experience with Windows and MS Office
• Valid driver’s license.

Compensation Range: $155,000 - $165,000 per year
