Job Summary

The Regional Environmental Health & Safety Manager provides leadership, coaching, and hands on support/implementation of safety programs for EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc. for defined areas/accounts. The primary purpose of this role is to support the assigned areas/accounts in their execution of the EFS safety program.  The position requires travel to client sites (up to 50% of flexible travel (continental US) to new, existing and potential clients) to perform the following duties: safety coaching, site or project safety assessments, accident investigations, safety training, and customer relations.  The position will also be involved in identifying opportunities to improve work related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives execution of safety program in assigned area/accounts. This may include performing safety assessments and due diligence audits of existing and potential client facilities to identify existing or potential accident and health hazards; determining corrective or preventative measures where indicated; submitting related reports of findings to management and following up to ensure measures have been implemented, conducting or coordinating training, assisting in incident investigations, providing safety coaching, and other activities that assist with achieving desired safety performance
  • Reviews local operating procedures and standard SOPs related to the work activities performed in the assigned areas/accounts. Ensures that the work our associates do for our clients does not conflict with EPA permit requirements
  • Schedules monthly meetings/visits with the assigned areas/accounts to discuss metrics, incidents, coaching, and overall safety performance
  • Updates/downloads/communicates information for assigned areas/accounts in relevant databases/tools (ACTS, ISN, Avetta, EmailMeForm, etc.)
  • Supports and responds to daily team needs across the organization
  • Any other duties assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety & Health, EH&S Management or a related field is required or a combination of education and related work experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 of progressively responsible experience in the EH&S field
  • OSHA Outreach Instructor Certification for General Industry
  • CHST, CSP desired
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) is desired
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations. Ability to use Microsoft Office products
