New England Mechanical Services, Inc is currently seeking an Automation/Controls Technician/Installer responsible for supporting a Building Automation System (BAS) installation including mounting of control components, conduit low voltage wiring, terminations, system start-up, checkout and troubleshooting.
Requires a CT E2 or L6 License

Include but not limited to the following.
Plans installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and is consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
Pull wiring through conduit and label.
Ensure that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
Locate, mount and terminate BAS end devices such as temperature sensors, relays and electronic actuators.
Assist with job commissioning, start-up procedures and owner training if necessary.
Prepares sketches showing as-built location of wiring and equipment.
Attend project meetings as necessary.
Ability to work overtime, varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed.
Effectively able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
Communicate clearly and effectively with supervisor and crew members.
Work independently and as a team member.
Works with other trades to coordinate work on the job site.
Keep trade licenses and certifications current.
Attend all safety training provided and/or sponsored by NEMSI.
Follow all NEMSI safety policies, procedures, and use personal protective equipment when performing installation and/or servicing HVAC systems.
Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a clean and neat appearance.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, smell and lift, set-up and climb ladders as well as stairways. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally sit. The employee must regularly lift and /or move various weight ranges such as 0-50 lbs. frequently, 51-100 lbs. occasionally and 101 plus seldom. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Maintain a neat and clean appearance and utilize all protective equipment provided and as required.
