As a Senior Project Controls Manager, you will report to the CFO and COO/Group President and work closely with division Vice Presidents to oversee project teams responsible for cost control, forecasting, change management, scheduling, reporting, and earned value management for various large construction projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the project controls program through setup, implementation, and adherence checkpoints
  • Lead action-oriented weekly and/or monthly meetings with project controls team members in each division
  • Maintaining open communication with business unit leaders
  • Maintain a commitment to organized and accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with internal & external key stakeholders by gaining feedback, attending meetings, and submitting update reports
  • Understanding and communicating the client’s needs to relevant teams and business unit leaders
  • Streamlining and communicating project controls processes
  • Developing innovative process improvements
  • Training management staff on project control procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with project control requirements
  • Supervise, lead, and mentor team members
  • Make data driven decisions regarding project controls performance by collecting and analyzing relevant statistics
  • Prepare and present reports to executive leadership on project control activities
  • Analyze, evaluate and incorporate lessons learned on project financials, commodities, labor, trends perspective on all sites to help enhance current and future construction success

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of Construction Project Controls or Sr. Project Manager experience on large commercial projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, including Finance, Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc., paired with industry experience OR an overall appropriate combination of certification(s), experience, and education
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with customers, GCs, owners, and office personnel
  • Ability to budget time appropriately
  • Confidence to proactively request support or deadline adjustment when completing tasks
  • Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure
  • Knowledge of AIA billings and forms
  • Excellent math skills
  • Strong understanding of cost-to-complete forecasts, manpower loading, productivity tracking, change management, cashflow, AR/AP, and purchasing
  • Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems
  • Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time
  • Tactful conflict resolution and problem solving abilities

PREFERRED

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Teams & SharePoint
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Trimble Vista and/or Coins
LANGUAGE SKILLS 
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
