Job Summary

Forest Electric NJ is seeking an IT Manager who demonstrates a high level of service, commitment and execution. The position will be based in Edison, NJ.  Following are required characteristics, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Skills

  • Lead IT implementation of Parent Company and Local Company Software Products
  • Familiar with SQL, Querry writing and Optimization
  • Database design, knowledge of permissions and optimization
  • Report Building – extracting business insights from SQL data
  • Facilitate access and change management controls and permissions for key systems and documenting access accordingly
  • Work with Operational Leads to bring new software to enhance their ability to perform key duties
  • Assisting to maintain, troubleshoot and resolve complex IT issues across systems, networks, and applications. This includes addressing IT tickets and assisting in managing IT requests
  • Assist in automating manual processes and integrating key systems
  • Experience with multiple cloud technologies such as Azure and SharePoint
  • Budgeting IT expenditures and tracking versus expenditures
  • Assisting with backups, within a VMWare environment
  • Ensure compliance with Company IT SOPs, Audits, ITDR and Business Continuity Planning
  • Experience with Vista Viewpoint ERP and Vista Employee Portal highly preferred
  • Knowledge of VBA – building Microsoft Excel Macros
  • Experience with Python and/or DAX/Power BI

Leadership and Management Skills

  • Comfortable working in a team environment and independently, knowledge sharing and coaching skills
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Able to work with Executive teams as well as organizational technical teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral; capable of leading meetings in a professional manner
  • Excellent organizational skills and self-directed, yet able to follow direction if needed
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong troubleshooting skills

Qualifications

  • Ten (10) years of progressive IT experience in areas of support, infrastructure and/or architecture in a complex environment with at least 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related IT and/or business area
  • Demonstrated high level of professional experience with Microsoft infrastructure
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across all locations
  • Must frequently travel between New York City and Edison NJ offices, and jobsites if necessary
  • Regular, predictable and reliable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job

Compensation Range:   $130,000 - $150,000

Other Compensation:  Position is bonus eligible.
