Job Summary

ECM Holding Company  is  seeking a Licensed Journeyman Plumber in Washington, State  to act as the Primary Qualifying Agent for ECM. The successful candidate will provide the necessary credentials to secure and maintain our Washington Plumbing Contractor’s License. This role is primarily focused on regulatory compliance, permit pulling, and technical oversight to ensure all company operations meet legal standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Licensing & Qualification: Register your Journeyman Plumber license with the state/local licensing board to qualify ECM as a licensed plumbing contractor.
  • System Layout & Design: Interpret complex blueprints, architectural drawings, and technical specifications to map out high-efficiency plumbing layouts, water supply networks, and waste/venting systems.
  • Precision Pipe Fitting: Measure, cut, thread, and bend piping materials with exacting standards. Utilize advanced joining techniques, including soldering, brazing, solvent welding, and mechanical coupling.
  • Structural Integration: Safely manage structural modifications, such as opening walls or floors, to expose and service piping while maintaining the integrity of the building.
  • System Optimization: Calibrate water pressure valves and thermal settings to ensure peak system performance and longevity.
  • Comprehensive Fixture Installation: Execute the professional installation and commissioning of toilets, sinks, high-end shower systems, water heaters, and garbage disposals.
  • Water Quality & Management: Install and maintain sophisticated water treatment systems, including softeners, filtration units, and critical backflow prevention devices.
  • Exterior Drainage: Design and install robust gutter systems, drainpipes, and runoff solutions to ensure proper site drainage and foundation protection.

Maintenance, Diagnostics & Repair

  • Advanced Diagnostics: Deploy specialized technology, such as thermal imaging, drain cameras, and pressure gauges, to pinpoint leaks, clogs, or structural vulnerabilities.
  • Critical System Repair: Perform rapid-response repairs or replacements of compromised pipes, valves, and pressurized vessels to minimize property downtime.
  • Preventative Oversight: Conduct rigorous system inspections to identify and mitigate potential failures before they escalate into costly emergencies.
  • Team Supervision: Lead and mentor a crew of 1–5 assistant plumbers, ensuring projects are executed with technical precision, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Strategic Coordination: Act as a technical liaison for Project Managers to align installation timelines with broader construction or renovation phases.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the strategic packing, sorting, and inventory management of equipment and materials to ensure job-site readiness.
  • Regulatory Rigor: Ensure all installations and repairs strictly adhere to local building codes, environmental regulations, and industry safety standards.
  • Site Safety Leadership: Champion a "safety-first" culture by enforcing OSHA guidelines, particularly regarding trench safety, hazardous material handling, and PPE usage.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Washington State Plumber Contractor's License
  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must have a Minimum of 4–7 years of proven experience in the plumbing trade, including significant time at the Journeyman level.
  • Must have a clean disciplinary record with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) or relevant local board.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range:   $33.65 per hour - $40.86 per hour

Other Compensation:     NA
