Job Summary

Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned projects, or programs, to ensure that client and company goals are accomplished. Directly responsible for client satisfaction.  Assign, evaluate, develop, and monitor activities of several Project Managers. Provide coaching and guidance to ensure team members understand tasks and act on them efficiently. Coordinate the development, implementation, and orientation of process improvements to ensure current industry standards are maintained. In addition to directing project activities, the Senior Project Manager will own the relationship between EMCOR Facilities Services (PMO) and the client. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for client satisfaction including the preparation for and execution of quarterly business reviews.  Accountable to project pipeline including the identification of new projects
  • Manages projects and direct reports as part of the PMO leadership team. Responsible for selecting, orientating, and hiring new employees and distributing projects according to the skill set of team members.  Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, evaluations, and counseling to other team members.  Ensure assigned project team stays current with safety training. Monitor, document, and provide safety training to group as required. Occasionally visit project sites
  • Financial responsibility for multiple account projects in excess of $30M per year – including budgets, accruals, billing, etc

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in related field (Engineering, Construction Management), or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years of Relationship and Project Management experience specific to the construction field
  • LEED Associate, State General Contacting Licenses, or professional construction affiliations a plus. PMI Certification required
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction specifications, drawings, and government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, construction procedures, and employee reviews. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from upper management, clients, subcontractors, and peers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and e-mail communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Must possess excellent verbal, written, and personal communication skills. Must be able to clearly communicate with field personnel, field supervisors, subcontractors, customers, and upper management. Emphasis on ability to provide excellent Customer support and communication
  • Must be proficient at completing estimates, financial reports, schedules, client updates, associate reviews, and company reports
  • Must be able to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, requests for information (RFI’s), local, state, and national construction regulations, contracts, invoices, financial forecasts, and other pertinent construction documents
  • Ability to counsel, coach, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to direct reports
  • Comfortable presenting information, proposals, and updates to clients and upper management

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch

Work Environment

  • The work environment is an office setting as well as construction sites, manufacturing plants, and various client locations. Overnight travel occasionally
