Job Summary

S.A. Comunale #comunale The primary function of this role is to assist the Director of Alarm and Suppression in the processing and administration of the purchasing and inventory functions for the Company. 

 

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus towards administration and customer service. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Purchases materials for pre-reqs, Blue Tickets, consumables, stock list pre-orders and backorders, non-stock, and stock; including tracking MBE activity.
  • Assists Buyer with ERP system maintenance, including updating vendor information and receiving material.
  • Assists with the administration of Company inventory and inventory availability.
  • Assists with maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Assists with invoice issues as needed.
  • Serves as backup for other Purchasing department staff.
  • Maintains PickPack software and makes sure jobs are getting picked correctly and on time.
  • Works with the IT Manager to resolve problems with the CRM and ERP programs.
  • Serves as the Company point of contact for the CRM program.
  • Works with material pullers to resolve questions and problems with orders.
  • Works with designers to resolve stocklisting errors.
  • Reviews unconfirmed/received report on a daily basis.
  • Cross train in any job occupation within the organization as determined by the Company.
  • Decide when and where material should be shipped.
  • Be in contact with Designers to make sure products match project and make sense in relation to project.
  • Occasional travel to job sites.

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3+ years of purchasing and/or inventory experience is required.
  • Construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications is required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Demonstration of a positive attitude is required.
  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
  • Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.
  • Demonstrating integrity and professionalism is required.
  • Demonstrating commitment to company values is required.
