EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate opening for a General Maintenance Technician in Golden, CO. The Technician will report daily to the GMT supervisor and support him to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Qualified applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance in dealing with a wide range of general type services. Candidate must have strong communication skills and be able to foster strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
| Communicates effectively with GMT supervisor to determine service needs. Coordinates office and furniture moves while performing service on site. |
General maintenance tasks such as changing ceiling tiles, touching up walls, hanging pictures and artwork as requested and assisting other technicians as needed. |
Plumbing skills, Lavatory sinks sets, restroom fixtures, clean drains. |
Preforms preventative maintenance, HVAC equipment, and electrical systems. |
Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work request as directed. |
Assisting in outdoor snow removal details by shoveling salting and running snow equipment. |
Assist in the repair, replacement, and refurbishing of all electrical components |
Assist the electrician in all functions and follow necessary safety norms and regulations. |
Assist the Plumbing GMT in all functions and follow necessary safety norms and regulations. |
Education (HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.) | High school diploma or GED |
Business Experience (prior years work/related experience) | 3 years of experience related to facility maintenance. |
Licenses/Certifications |
Valid US driver’s license. |
Age Requirement | Must be 21 Years of Age or older |
Language Skills | Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of an organization.

The ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, carry office moving boxes and ability to walk the facility throughout the day are required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The work environment is an industrial environment most of the duration. A clean and professional appearance is required at all times with casual dress requirements. Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills are a must. Must be willing to work overtime when required and may be required to work holidays and/or weekends at times. We are responsible for snow removal and there are times in the Winter season when most of the day is spent outdoors in cold/snow conditions. We are also responsible for landscaping and there are times in the summer season when time is spent outdoors in hot/sunny conditions.
Compensation Range: $25 to 38/HR
