The A/V Service Technician will be responsible for responding to Audio Visual service calls, troubleshooting, and resolving. The A/V Service Technician will also assist in compiling and recording service contract information and documentation. In between service calls, the technician will be responsible to assist installation crews with project installation efforts.
Position Requirements:
- Candidate must be experienced and proficient in installing and servicing commercial audio and video systems.
- Candidate must have in-depth experience in troubleshooting A/V and electronic systems.
- Candidate must be an excellent communicator, well presented in front of clients, and committed to excellent customer service.
- Candidate must be able to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Candidate must have experience with Personal Computer and Microsoft Project,
- Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word applications.
- Candidate must have the ability to operate hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner and should have his own tools as an installer.
- Power tools will be provided by Miller Electric Company
- Candidate must have the ability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, stand for extended periods, work extended hours, and travel independently.
- Candidate must have a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record and the ability to operate fleet vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
- Candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Candidate must be able to operate articulating boom lifts, climb ladders, and operate such devices in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Flexibility, adaptability, leadership, self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision, being able to work individually and as part of a team are all desirable traits.
- Candidate may need to work with helpers on projects assigned to the Technician, including project tasks, training on new products, and managing productivity of installers or service helpers.
