JOB TITLE: Stationary Engineer (Atlas) Temporary Assignment
SUMMARY: EMCOR Government Services, Inc. has an immediate need for a Stationary Engineer in Bethesda, MD. to monitor, troubleshoot and maintain equipment in the central plant and associated ICC-B buildings. This position is through Local 99 and the schedule is 9:00pm - 5:00am Sunday through Thursday. This is a temporary assignment lasting approximately 6 months.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
- Monitor site operations through the BMCS control system.
- Assist General Maintenance Workers with the maintenance and repairs of the building air systems on the site.
- Assist with the troubleshooting of all equipment on site.
- Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site.
- Institute the corrective action and/or inform his supervisor on any deficiencies found in the course of performing the job.
- Attend meetings with Client and USG and be prepared to provide corrective solution to site issues.
- Supervise Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed by his supervisor.
- Monitor Subcontractors in their task and provide reports when needed.
- Perform other task as directed by their Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Maryland 1st Class Engineers License, preferred.
- DC 3rd Class Engineers License, Acceptable
- Three (3) or more years experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to:
Chillers =/+500 tons Pumps Air Handlers Cooling Towers Heat Exchangers VAV's
- Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.
- Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations.
- Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Building Air Systems.
- Must be willing to work shift work.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly
- Must be available and willing to work a schedule of 9:00pm - 5:00am Sunday - Thursday
