Job Title: Service Technician - Refrigeration
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain refrigeration racks \ one on one system.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all refrigeration related equipment.
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Solid knowledge of building blueprints.
- Willing to mentor and train lower-level techs.
- Strong understanding of job site safety.
- Must be organized and able to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated and work with little supervision.
- Maintain safe work practices in support of OSHA Health & Safety and NFPA 70e standards.
Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in maintaining similar type and size commercial equipment, along with a current Universal CFC certification
- Strong oral and written communication required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.
- Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.
- Valid Vehicle Operators license
- Ability to stand, sit or squat for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, move and carry material up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work at extended heights.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). i.e., but not limited to, dust mask, gloves, eye protection and hearing protection.
- Working knowledge of desktop computers and Internet based programs to perform required annual training.
- Ability to wear a company uniform and maintain a neat personal appearance.
- This position will require a background check and drug screening.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.

Compensation Range: $48.41 - $56.95 per hour The hourly rate is determined by the CBA/rate sheet and test results. Benefits are provided through local labor union aligned with collective bargaining agreement.
