Job Summary

The Safety Trained Supervisor (STSC Certified) is a full-time safety professional assigned to a construction site, responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, performing regular inspections, and promoting a safe and productive work environment. This ongoing role supports daily operations by identifying risks, reinforcing safety procedures, and serving as a key link between field teams and safety leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing the following regularly or as a backup:

  • Serve as the primary safety contact for the assigned construction site
  • Conduct continuous site safety inspections and hazard assessments
  • Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses; recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and logs
  • Collaborate with site leadership to resolve safety concerns
  • Promote a proactive site leadership to resolve safety concerns
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Must have an active STSC certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
  • Experience managing safety on a single-site construction project
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e.: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Comfortable working within Windows-based platforms
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software systems and digital tools
