Maintenance Helper (FDIC)

EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Maintenance Helper  at FDIC in Washington, DC. The regularly scheduled shift is 7:00am – 3:00pm. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct a routine assessment of the building systems operations. 

• Perform tests, tours and analyzes data to assure the proper operation of building machinery.

• Perform minor repairs, preventive maintenance and service requests on building equipment, machinery and components located in the interior or exterior of the building. 

• Performs maintenance on all plumbing in buildings including water and sanitation systems.
• Assist Engineers.
• Perform snow removal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work any shift assigned.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must be able to work safely.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must be willing to adhere to company policies.

 

Physical Demands:

• Work requires an abundance of walking, bending, kneeling, and working in uncomfortable positions.
